Teacher cleared of sex assaults
A teacher accused of sexually assaulting five pupils at a school in the Mirfield area has been found not guilty.
Brendan John O’Brien, 45, of Barnsley Road, Barnsley was cleared on all 17 counts by a jury at Leeds Crown Court today.
It had been alleged that he touched the youngsters’ genital area over their clothing.
O’Brien consistently denied that any of the offences ever happened.
