Taxi driver in hospital after crash

A taxi driver was taken to Leeds General Infirmary this morning after a crash with a bus.

The accident happened at about 5.40am at the junction of Bradford Road and Flush near Millbridge School.

The taxi, a Skoda, crashed with the bus.

The bus driver and his one male passenger were unhurt.

The taxi driver, a 42-year-old Dewsbury man, was taken to the LGI with head injuries which police believe are not serious.

The road was closed for two hours but was fully reopened by about 8.29pm.
