New Rams coach Lee Greenwood has continued his preparations for 2019 by signing promising local talent Jack Richardson from the Huddersfield Giants academy.

Richardson played for several local amateur clubs before signing a three-year academy deal with the Huddersfield Giants.

The centre or second row is looking forward to pulling on the jersey of his hometown club, having watched the team from the terraces.

Richardson said: “I have finished my three years in the Giants academy. Obviously being a local lad from Dewsbury, born in the town, and having played for a lot of clubs around the area it was a great opportunity to be offered to play for the club. It is fantastic that I am able to play for my local team.”

“It has always been in my thoughts to play for the Rams, whether I started my career at the club or finished here. I have always had the desire to pull on the shirt for my local side.”
