The current Rams crop were also in attendance, along with Head Coach Glenn Morrison, Chairman Mark Sawyer and Vice Chairman Andrew Farrow.
Dewsbury Rams general manager Angie Burkinshaw said: “The evening began with welcome speech by Mark Sawyer who acknowledged the distance that some of the 72/73 squad had travelled to attend.
“Stevo (Mike Stephenson) had also very kindly recorded a message for his former team mates and that was well received.

The club has marked the anniversary with nostalgic match programmes and a new first-team kit which closely resembles the 1973 strip.
Next month, the Rams will host a celebration along with Dewsbury Town Team to mark both the anniversary and the visit of the Rugby League World Cup.
