Champion boxer Evander Holyfield visited Shaw Cross Community Church to meet One Community trustee Chris Battye to see what he can do to lend his support to its work in Kirklees,he brought with him a van load of food stock accompanied by (right) Yank Barry, Chairman and Co-founder of Global Village Champions Foundation.

Included this week are a championship boxer’s visit to Dewsbury, Heritage Weekend celebrations in Mirfield, the Battle of Britain is marked in Batley and a Liversedge schools goes back to Victorian times.
