A free summer school is keeping Thornhill children busy over the holidays.

Children aged 4-11 ran races, played cricket and games for the opening day of the summer school at Thornhill Sports and Community Centre. “The kids loved it,” organiser Charlotte Goodwin said.

The summer school will run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this month until August 28. Arts, crafts, baking and a guide dog visit are planned for future sessions.
