Slideshow: Batley Girls’ High School graduation
Pupils wore the caps and gowns to celebrate finishing the year in style and were treated to a special assembly in their honour after more than 80 percent of year eights exceeded the requirements to progress into the next year.
Each pupil was given a certificate by the school’s deputy head Julie Haigh.

Hide AdIffat Ahmad, the school’s pathways and progression coordinator, said: “It was a very good day, and the pupils were really inspired.
“We hope that this will give them an insight on what it is like to graduate, and will encourage them to go into further education in the future.”
