Showcase Cinemas revolutionises experience with new luxury reclining seating

Showcase Cinemas has announced a £10m transformation of its Leeds cinema, which is set to enhance the film going experience for its customers.

Following the installation of the premium large format XPlus auditorium screen last year, every seat in the cinema is being replaced by fully customisable recliner seating.

Recently completed was a state of the art lobby, with a brand new lounge bar, serving a range of drinks, food and Costa Coffee, as part of a £10m investment across the UK this year. The venue will also be rebranded under the flagship Showcase Cinema de Lux brand.

All auditoriums will be outfitted with plush, fully customisable recliners over the next four months, which will be offered at no extra cost to the customer. Showcase is leading the UK cinema market in delivering this unprecedented level of comfort as standard to moviegoers.

The refurbishment will be completed by mid September 2015, alongside two more locations (Reading and Nottingham), creating a unique viewing environment for film fans to enjoy.

Showcase Cinema de Lux in Leeds will provide guests with the ultimate cinema experience with crystal clear projection and ultra-sharp image quality in every screen and now luxury recliner seating as standard.
