THIS was the haul of rubbish found by volunteers who gave up a day off to tidy Dewsbury Cemetery.
Geoff Greensmith is part of a small group which looks after Commonwealth War Graves Commission graves in the cemetery.
He was disgusted with what he and others found during the clean-up in just a few hours.
He said: “I was appalled at the amount of rubbish, sprit bottles, beer bottles and tins scattered amongst our beloved dead.
“This is a resting place and should be treat with respect.”
