Schoolboy robbed of phone

Police are appealing for witnesses after a schoolboy had his mobile phone stolen.

The incident happened at 10.20pm on Wednesday August 29 in Halifax Road, between Batley Road and Kilpin Hill Lane, in Heckmondwike.

The victim was walking home and saw two men running on the other side of the road. They crossed over and approached him.

They threatened him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone, which he handed over. They then ran off down Halifax Road before turning up Kilpin Hill Lane.

The first suspect was white, with blond hair, skinny with broad shoulders and between 5ft 5ins-5ft 7ins tall. He wore a dark hooded top and a camouflage bandana.

The second man was white, of a similar build but smaller and wore a dark hooded top and a red yellow and green bandana covering the bottom of his face.
