Caldervale Technology, based at Mill Street East, Dewsbury, first started building links with Russian clients in 2009.

The company, which manufactures equipment used for the installation of gas and water pipes, now works with a sole distributor based in Moscow and the country has become its biggest market.

The business, which was established in 1993, developed special technology for the Russian market, which has to withstand temperatures from -40 to +40 degrees. Clients from seven companies based in the central Russian regions of Yekateringburg and Perm visited the company from Wednesday to Sunday.

General manager Ian Smith said: “First and foremost the visit was for the clients to visit our production facility here in Dewsbury.

“It was a very successful trip and we hope to bring groups from over parts of Russia in the future.”

It was topped off with a trip to watch the Super League Grand Final on Saturday. Mr Smith, who visits Russia several times a year, added: “They really enjoyed it. It was a great way to round off the visit.”
