Dewsbury Moor ARFLC has been raising funds for club member Connor Squires who was seriously hurt in January.

The 18-year-old from Wyke fractured two vertebrae in his spine and snapped ligaments in his neck when he fell badly during a tackle.

Since then the club has raised more than £2,000, which Connor plans to put towards university fees.

The fundraising continued on Monday with a touch and pass tournament at the club in Heckmondwike Road.

The event featured more than 20 games and was followed by food and drinks at the clubhouse.
