Road blocked after VW and Audi crash

Police were called to the junction of Leeds Road and Grange Road in Shaw Cross, Dewsbury, at around 8.30am.

A grey Volkswagen Tiguan and a silver Audi A4, one of which is believed to be a taxi, were involved in the smash outside a Shell garage.

The Volkswagen driver was taken to hospital as a precaution but is not believed to be seriously hurt.

Both lanes of Leeds Road were blocked off following the crash, and one driver said the area was still one to avoid just after 9am.
