Ravensthorpe jewellers raided

A hoard of silver bracelets were stolen in an early morning raid on a Ravensthorpe jewellers.

Four burglars forced their way into the Sufi Jewellers in Huddersfield Road at 2.20am today (Thursday)/

Among the items taken were 30 silver bracelets.

Acting Detective Insp Ian Thornes, of Kirklees CID, said: “It may be that the items will be melted down or that they are to be sold on.

“We would urge anyone who is offered silver bracelets in the area to get in touch.

“We are in the process of going through CCTV and our enquiries are ongoing.”
