Rare chance to see artist’s work

People can see an artist’s work on display at a former Batley food shop-turned gallery for the next month.

Artist Ian Walsh, of Staincliffe, will have his digital print work on show at the former Jack Fulton’s shop in Commercial Street.

He will have seven pieces of his artwork on display inside the building, as well as some in Batley’s Reunion Cafe in Branch Road.

The display is part of the Batley Empty Shops Initiative, which aims to make Batley’s shopping area more attractive by showcasing art in empty shop units.

The scheme is being run by Creative Arts Hub, Batley Business Association and Batley Art Gallery.
