Radio station’s non-stop show

DJs at the station will be on air twice around-the-clock from 6pm on Friday March 6 to 6pm on Sunday March 8 as part of Heavy Woollen District Hospital Radio’s major fundraiser.

Chairman Mike Binns said: “Our station is run entirely by volunteers but we need a regular income to keep studio equipment in good working order, as well as paying for various licences we need to provide the service we do.”

The marathon broadcast will include live commentary of Dewsbury Rams vs Whitehaven match direct from the Tetley’s Stadium.

People outside the hospital can listen to all broadcasts online at hwdhospitalradio.com, where you can also make a secure donation.
