We’re giving readers the chance to be in the hot seat and quiz our health chiefs. We will put questions to Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust Chief Executive Stephen Eames and North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) Clinical Lead Dr David Kelly on your behalf.

Mr Eames will be able to answer questions on hospital services, including those at Dewsbury Hospital. Dr Kelly will be able to answer questions on community health services and how the organisation spends money on behalf of local patients.

Mr Eames said: “I always try and keep up to date with what’s appearing in the Reporter Series. Over the last two months I’ve noticed a number of letters from readers raising issues or concerns about things such as our plans to reconfigure hospital services, our investment in the hospital site and our financial legacy and how this might be affecting our current plans.

“I’d like to offer readers the opportunity to put any of their burning questions to me via the Reporter Series, so we can address any concerns in the best way we can.”

We will submit a selection of your questions, which will be answered in the Batley and Birstall News February 13 edition and the Dewsbury Reporter, Mirfield Reporter and Spenborough Guardian February 14 editions.

Please email your questions to [email protected], tweet them to @ReporterJoeC or write to the Dewsbury Reporter office, 17 Wellington Road, Dewsbury, WF13 1HQ. The deadline for submissions is Friday January 31.
