Policing, young people and green spaces are all on the agenda when the Dewsbury and Mirfield District Committee meets next week.
Members of the public and local groups are all invited to attend on Tuesday January 19 from 5-7pm at Trinity Methodist Church, Huddersfield Road, Mirfield.
There will be several speakers, including councillors and police officers.
Coun Erin Hill will report the findings from the recent Kirklees Young People's Survey, and Inspector Jenny Thompson and Sergeant Andrew Lockwood will give an update on neighbourhood policing, call handling and crime management.
Kirklees Council parks and green spaces manager Rob Dalby will attend to respond to questions about the service standards affecting local parks.
Noreen Beck from Kirklees Neighbourhood Housing will brief the committee on the estates and environmental schemes discussed at the recent Dewsbury and Mirfield Area Forum, and applications for funding from the district committee's budget will be considered at the meeting.
“This is a packed and interesting agenda that includes key priority issues for the District Committee; emotional health and wellbeing of local young people; service standards for our parks and open spaces; and an update on local policing and crime management. I would encourage anyone interested in any or all of these items, to come along and join us on January 19,” said committee chair Coun Darren O'Donovan.
