The Earlsheaton Technology College pupils were praised at a tea party hosted by head teacher Hayley Clacy.

The party took place in the school’s main hall, in Old Bank Road, Dewsbury.

Just under 170 pupils were invited along with their parents and more sandwiches had to be made to cater for the impressive turnout.

Mrs Clacy said: “The party was absolutely phenomenal. This is the first time we have hosted the event and we want to make sure pupils are praised when they do well.

People often get the wrong impression of our students so it is good to prove them wrong.”

Only pupils who have had no negative behaviour logs this year were invited to the party and were also awarded with a non-uniform day as well.
