Prince’s trustyoungsters help pensioners

Youngsters from the Prince’s Trust in Dewsbury taught 25 older people at the Whitfield Centre in Batley to recognise the tell-tale signs of doorstep scams.

Aiming towards their trust award, the group have worked with the Scams and Frauds Education for Residents Project run by West Yorkshire Trading Standards and funded by the Big Lottery.

After the trust learners spoke with the pensioners about some of the issues affecting them, they performed a dramatisation of different tactics scammers use on the doorstep.
