One of the new works is titled Mr Riley and is a portrait of the headmaster.

The painting is typical of her expressionist style and has drawn much attention at the school.

The work was produced as an exemplar piece to help underpin the students’ knowledge and understanding of different processes and techniques when using oil paints.

The exhibition is running until Saturday April 12 at Batley Art Gallery in Batley Library. It is open Monday to Friday and admission is free.
