There was cross-party support for a plan to demolish Gomersal Hall on Oxford Road at Gomersal, and to build seven detached homes on the land

Objectors said the benefit of six new homes against the loss of the old hall was “negligible” and expressed concerns over the risk of mining subsidence in the area and whether underground roadways still exist under the site.
