Police searching for missing Mirfield pensioner find body of man
Police searching for a missing Mirfield pensioner have found a body.
Police, who had issued an appeal for help in finding 92-year-old John Barnes, said that the body of an adult male had been found on Black Hill in the Peak District just before 7pm yesterday evening by the National Police Air Service.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said formal identification will take place to identify the man and enquiries remain ongoing.
Mr Barnes’ family have been informed.
