Police catch ‘sexual predator’

A sex offender who went on the run after absconding from a bail hostel in Cleckheaton has been captured by police.

Scott Sorby, 20, absconded from the bail hostel he had been ordered to stay at on Friday January 21 in Bradford Road and was arrested in Wakefield yesterday (Wednesday).

Sorby was jailed for four and a half years back in June 2008 after being convicted with attempted rape.

He has now been sent back to prison for breaching the terms of his licence that required him to reside at the hostel.
