Police appeal after Morrisons assault

Police are appealing for help in identifying a man they want to question in connection with a reported assault and shoplifting incident at Heckmondwike’s Morrisons supermarket.

A member of staff approached a man who he believed had put a bottle of alcohol in his bag without paying for it.

When confronted the man is alleged to have grabbed the male assistant and dragged him to the floor.

The suspect is white, aged in his mid 20s, with dark hair which was shaved at the side and spiky on top. He was wearing a black bomber jacket, dark jogging bottoms and black trainers and had a black and yellow Nike T90 Strider backpack.

The incident took place around 8.10pm on Friday November 22.
