Police appeal after man reported voyeurism

Police want to speak to a man who reported an incident of voyeurism at Dewsbury Bus Station’s toilets.

The offence, which is alleged to have happened in the toilet area, was reported to bus station staff by the witness at around 1.15pm today (April 24).

A 66-year-old man has been bailed after the incident.

Police are now appealing for the witness, who left the scene before police arrived, to come forward.

PC James Berriman, of Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “This incident, which is alleged to have occurred in the bus station toilet area, was reported to police by security personnel at Dewsbury Bus Station shortly after 1.15pm.

“The man who reported it to them had already left the scene.

“As part of our ongoing enquiries we need to identify and speak to this man. I would urge him to come forward and make contact with the Dewsbury and Mirfield Neighbourhood Policing Team via 101.”
