Police appeal after girl assaulted on Dewsbury train
The girl, who was travelling on a train between Leeds and Dewsbury, was verbally and physically attacked by two women as they left the train at Dewsbury.
The incident took place shortly after 5.30pm on Saturday May 11, on board the 3.50pm Middlesbrough to Manchester Airport service.

Hide AdBritish Transport Police PC Marcus Robinson, from BTP Leeds, wants to hear from anyone who saw what took place, or who can identify the woman pictured in image shown.
He said: “The victim, a teenage girl from Wales, was sitting in a window seat with her boyfriend next to her.
“When the train reached Leeds two women boarded and stood in the vestibule area directly behind them.
“The teenage couple were both texting on their phones and saw one of the women looking at what they were doing and making nasty comments.

Hide Ad“As the two women were leaving the train at Dewsbury, one of them leant over and hit the teenage girl on the side of her head and swore at her, leaving her shaken, but luckily uninjured.
“This was a nasty, unprovoked assault and we take incidents of this nature very seriously.
“People have the right to travel on trains without fear of violence, and we will do everything we can to identify those responsible.
“We are particularly keen to speak to the woman pictured as we believe she may hold key information.”
