Plans in motion for old Dewsbury and Batley fire stations
Riva Homes has applied to build 13 houses at the old Batley station in Carlinghow Lane.
And Kirklees Council planners have already agreed to a West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service application to demolish the former Huddersfield Road facility in Dewsbury for a convenience store.

Hide AdThe combined 44 staff members from both sites moved to a new joint station in Carlton Road in August last year.
Call-outs had declined during the previous 10 years due to increased home safety checks.
Public consultation on plans for the Batley site, which was a cotton mill before becoming a fire station, runs until July 25.
