Car enthusiasts flocked to Crow Nest Park for a classic car show in Crow Nest Park.
Almost 80 cars and motorbikes were on show for the event yesterday (Sunday), organised by the Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club and the Friends of Crow Nest Park.
Mayor of Kirklees Coun Martyn Bolt and Mayoress Liz Bolt attended the show and were asked to choose the car they would most like to drive home.
Barry Simkin, a Friends committee member and member of the car club, said: “The Mayor chose a 1928 Model A Ford, while the Mayoress chose an immaculate Jowett Jupiter. It looked superb.
“It was a fantastic day and it was very well attended. The park is an excellent venue and people were still sat outside at 5pm enjoying the weather.
“We had a Bullnose Morris Saloon from the early 1920s right up to more modern stuff. It was really nice to see – it’s all part of our motoring heritage.”
