Person hit by train in Batley

A PERSON has been hit by a train in Batley.

Network Rail staff are working with the British Transport Police and the emergency services after the incident, which happened at 1.45pm today (Tuesday).

Lines are currently blocked, affecting services between Dewsbury and Leeds.

Buses are replacing trains between Huddersfield and Leeds, with journey times extended by up to 40 minutes.
