In preparation for the main festival in June 2021, the council and the Woven team are planning the big rainbow knit
The team want to create a trail of spectacular woollen rainbow coloured installations starting at Huddersfield Railway Station.

Hide AdThey will do this by yarn bombing the six grand pillars at the front of the station building before heading out to other train stations in Kirklees to yarn bomb them too.
Councillor Paul Davies, Cabinet Member for Culture said: “Rainbows represent positivity and joy, and this year have become a symbol of thanks and hope as we all pulled together in the first lockdown, so now feels like the best possible time to make our own.
"With so many leisure opportunities on hold now could be the ideal time to get creative and maybe learn a new skill, or resurrect an old one.”
