Teenage golfing star from Mirfield selected for prestigious academy
A teenage golfing star from Mirfield has been selected to attend the England Girls Golf Leadership academy.
14-year-old Annabelle Musson, who is a junior member of Dewsbury District Golf Club, will be one of only 40 girls from across the whole of the country attending the programme, at the prestigious Belfry Golf Club, in Sutton Coldfield on June 16 and 17.

The programme is designed to develop golfing skills, leadership ability and confidence both on and off the course.
The LPGA Foundation introduced the two-day Leadership Academies in America back in 2015. Now the foundation has teamed up with the Golf Foundation to bring the Academy to the UK.
Annabelle joined Dewsbury District Golf Club, on Sands Lane, three years ago, and has progressed through the training programme, playing in team matches and club competitions, as well as representing Yorkshire Girls.
Iain Pearson, club president said: “On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Annabelle on her selection for the prestigious Girls Leadership Academy at The Belfry.
“To be chosen as one of only 40 young golfers from across England is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Annabelle’s talent, dedication, and potential.
“We are immensely proud of her success and wish her every enjoyment and continued success at this outstanding event.”
