Santa spreads Christmas cheer amongst patients and staff at Dewsbury Hospital

Patients at Dewsbury and District Hospital have been left with smiles on their faces after Santa Claus paid a surprise visit ahead of his busiest night of the year.

Santa visited patients on Ward 8 on Thursday, December 18, to spread some much-needed Christmas cheer.

Santa said: “It's not nice being in hospital at the best of times but especially at Christmas, so it is great to add a little bit of Christmas cheer to all the patients, relatives and hard-working staff".

A staff member of Ward 8 said: “It was a very memorable afternoon seeing all the patients' faces. It just makes their hospital stay just that little bit more fun and memorable.”
