Loving Hands Outreach Team launches GoFundMe campaign to provide Christmas care packages

The group of dedicated volunteers helps the community by providing food parcels and care packages for those in need across Dewsbury, Gomersal, Batley, Mirfield, Thornhill, Chickenley, Ravensthorpe, Heckmondwike, Birstall, Cleckheaton and other local areas.

The Loving Hands volunteers are hoping people in Kirklees will support their drive to donate money rather than buying Christmas cards this year.

So far the drive has accrued £235 in the bid to reach a final fundraising total of £1,000.

A spokesman said: “We are asking for donations so we can buy Christmas hampers for the families. We can then hopefully supply them with at least a dinner on Christmas day.”
