His mum Kayleigh, 24, told the YEP that the only time he will sit still is when he knows he is playing.

When Jensen, from Cleckheaton, was told he might be able to watch Bamford in person once Covid restrictions ease, he got 'very excited'.

Much to the family's delight, Bamford truly delivered and sent a heartfelt message to the young boy.

In the video, the striker said: "Just sending a little video saying hi and I hope you are okay.

"I guessed you watched the game last night.

"I hope you enjoyed it, it was a great result.

"Hopefully we will be able to see you back at Elland road soon and it is safe.

"I hope you are well."

Kayleigh posted a video reaction of Jensen watching the video which has gone viral on social media.

Speaking to the YEP, Kayleigh said: "Jensen absolutely loves Bamford and it’s the only time he sits still when he knows he’s playing.

"He went really shy when he watched it but since he’s been really excited, watching it over and over and saying he’s going to tell his friends at school he got a message from Bamford.

"A page on Instagram called totalleeds messaged him and he responded and sent them the video.

"He was so excited after he saw it, he didn’t know what to do at first!

"It made his day."
