It is one of around 100 lots in Pugh’s next property auction which will be held online later this month.

The former nightspot has a £15,000-£20,000 guide price.

The property is a 1,600 sq ft lower-ground-floor series of rooms in an ornate Grade II-listed building.

A former wool textile warehouse and offices, 24 Bond Street was built in 1880 when Dewsbury was a major woollen industry centre.

The online auction will open at 10am on Thursday, April 23, with registration closing at 3pm on Wednesday, April 22.

Paul Thompson, managing director of Pugh, said: ““This is a handsome period property with enormous potential for alternative uses, subject to a new owner gaining the relevant planning consent.

“The upper floors have been converted to residential accommodation and it’s in a great location, close to Dewsbury town centre and the railway station.”

Established 26 years ago, Pugh is the largest auctioneer outside of London and was acquired by property consultant Eddisons in 2016.

Last year the firm offered over 1,000 lots for sale at its Leeds and Manchester auctions, achieving a success rate of 85 per cent and generating more than £90m in sales.
