Dewsbury care home boss completes skydive to raise funds for residents
Home manager Paul Rowson and care manager Sharon Hudson, of Ashworth Grange, were supported by Bridlington-based Skydive GB team, who gave them a fantastic view over the East Yorkshire coastline, as the fearless duo saw famous landmarks including Flamborough Head and Scarborough’s golden sands from a 10,000ft high vantage point.
Paul said: "I have never been a fan of heights, but Sharon managed to twist my arm into joining her. I don’t think I would have braved it if it wasn’t for the residents – although they all thought I was crazy to do it!

The jump is the third of its kind to be completed by Sharon and various co-workers who have taken part in sponsored skydives in 2019 and 2020 to support the Alzheimer’s Society and a co-worker whose son was diagnosed with rare progressive brain disease.
Sharon said: "I love to skydive and having my Ashworth Grange team at my side is all the more fun!
"Paul was very nervous, but he did it and I am really proud of him for committing to the big leap.
