Creative Scene group asking artists to submit work for web display

The organisation is asking the community of North Kirklees to submit their creative work, responding to the theme of TRIBE.

Due to COVID-19, Creative Scene’s open exhibition at Batley Art Gallery has been postponed, but the exhibition will go ahead on Creative Scene’s website.

A spokesman said: “We have seen creativity blossom in various ways while the communities of Dewsbury and Batley have been self-isolating.

“We are encouraging applications from artists and artist groups who are at any stage in their career. This includes people who have just picked up a paintbrush to try something new in lockdown, right through to established artists working in North Kirklees.”

Submissions for Brigantia Artists Online will close on Sunday, May 3, and submissions for Young Brigantia Artists Online will close on Sunday, May 31.
