Generous parents have donated more than £3,000 to refurbish a school building.

The Parents and Friends Association (PFA) of St Patrick’s Primary School pledged to improve the school’s learning facilities and expand administrative offices.
The money was raised by holding summer and Christmas fairs as well as a Halloween party.
PFA chairwoman Sandra Lord said: “We tend to find out what the school really needs and last year decided to make a contribution to the building work.
“It can be seen by the community and by other parents and it looks very smart inside and out. We’d like to thank everyone who helped raise the money.”

St Patrick’s School headteacher Anthony Rush welcomed the donation from the group.
