Oxfam online needs your help

Oxfam is appealing for people to volunteer at its online shop in Batley.

All volunteers are given on-the-job training at the centre in Grange Road.

The range of work includes sorting, steaming and photographing stock, uploading photos and listing items online, and dispatching sold items around the world.

Manager Jo Thackwray said: “The online shop could not exist without our team of kind, talented and dedicated volunteers. Being such a busy online shop, we need to recruit more.

“Each and every new volunteer will be greeted by friendly faces and a warm welcome.”

Forty five per cent of Oxfam volunteers give between two and five hours a week. Forty per cent give between six and 15 hours a week. Shifts can be flexible.
