A terraced house in Ossett was left gutted after a fire last night (Friday).

Crews from fire stations in Ossett, Dewsbury and Wakefield were called to Low Mill Road at 11.09pm.

The house was well alight by the time firefighters arrived.

They used two large jets, one house reel and an aerial ladder platform during a four-hour operation.

Nobody was in the home when the fire broke out.

The cause is under investigation.
