Thanks for the support

MYSELF and fellow Manchester Airport fireman Neil Gyllenship, also known as Team Heatwave, who rowed across the Atlantic for charity, had an emotional cheque-giving presentation to the charities our extreme challenge was in aid of.

The final amount raised, £ 65,170, was split between three charities, St Ann’s Hospice, Childflight and Claire House children’s hospice.

A representative from each of the charities was treated to a tour of the fire station and handed a considerable sum of money to go towards the worthy causes.

It was great to see the conclusion of our epic challenge and after all the hard work it was lovely to hand over the money raised which will be used for those that need it most. We’d also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped, supported and sponsored us.
