Look back at the past
BEFORE we welcome Labour’s new dawn with open arms, a few facts might not go amiss.
Until quite recently, Labour were top dogs round here and for 13 years, from 1997 to 2010, they were the government. During those years, what on earth did they do for Dewsbury? The answer, of course, is a big round zero. Nationally the economy was ruined and as far as local affairs are concerned, we lost out all round compared to Huddersfield.
People must have very short memories if they believe that he future is likely to be any different.
In short, there is no need to look into a crystal ball, just read the history.
