Load of old rubbish!

We would like to say a big thank you to the 23 willing volunteers who helped out last Saturday on our work day .

From 10am to 2pm we cleaned up debris and litter from the park and the moat and filled 20 rubbish sacks and rescued three old bikes, mattress springs and a signpost! The Kirklees park warden supervised the pruning of a number of trees and a member of the Dry Stone Walling Society rebuilt part of the garden walls . Thank you also to the Thornhill United catering team who supplied hot drinks and bacon butties !

We hope that those of you who use the park will notice the difference and that you join us in keeping up the gradual improvement that we are aiming for .

Our next venture is the installation of a green gym on the edge of the football field this summer .
