LETTERS: Singing praises of Indian Muslim Welfare Society

At a time when Islam is under attack in sections of the media it was pleasing to watch Sunday’s edition of BBC’s Songs of Praise and see that the Indian Muslim Welfare Society in Batley visited and donated £16,000 to victims of the floods in Somerset last year.

We hear a lot about divisions in our society but this was a splendid example of how communities can and do work to come together.
