Letter: A barrier would stop station ‘campers’

Once again we have a community of ‘campers’ settling in the railway car park - paying nil and inconveniencing the paying public who work in surrounding towns, and it is left to the hard working public to meet the costs.

All we need is a barrier 6ft high to prevent caravans to enter - one at both entry and exits. These could be controlled by electric controls from the ticket office sand left locked at night. Substantially cheaper than legal fees of £2,000 plus every few months.

I have written to Kirklees council planning department bu not had the courtesy of a reply.

Try leaving your car in the railway car park for a day or two and see how their council officials treat you!
