Fantastic turnout from Girlguiding members at Mirfield Remembrance

A very big thank you to all those involved in the Girlguiding Association in Mirfield District for the amazing turn out we had on Sunday at the Remembrance Parade in Mirfield.

As usual it was mild autumn day which is quite unusual, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section, Young Leaders, Leaders and helpers from Mirfield turned out smartly dressed in their uniform to show their respect for those that have and still do serve to protect us.

We had a fantastic turnout and I am extremely proud of the girls and leaders’ respect and behaviour during the parade. The girls took their place in the parade alongside other organizations, handed out orders of services, carried the flags, helped with the collection and laid the wreath. A special thank you must go to the Guiders and parents who encourage the young people of today to attend and ensure we continue to remember those that protect us.

This has been my last parade as District Commissioner for Girlguiding in Mirfield, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the leaders, girls and parents for all they have given to the success of Girlguiding in Mirfield. I hope you can give the new District Commissioners the support that you have given me over their time in office.
