Families should recycle
I REFER to your story about a woman in Roberttown who was sick of all the black rubbish bags piling up so decided to start a company to charge for people’s excess waste to be removed.
Before the grey and green bins changed to alternate weekly collections we had to have two green bins on our drive as we are responsible recyclers. We have two small children and only ever fill our grey bin over two the weeks at Christmas.
Households with more than two adults and two children should expect to pay for the extra rubbish they generate to be taken away as they made the decision they could afford to have more than two children in the first place. The main reason black bags pile up is because people just can’t be bothered to recycle.
