Don’t let it slip away
Doesn’t it seem ironic that at a time when hundreds of people are celebrating the mass trespass of Kinder Scout, Kirklees Council wants to take away the small amount of green belt we have left off Leeds Road, Chidswell.
The people did this so that the countryside was accessible to workers wanting to get into the fresh air after working all week in factories etc.
I think this still applies to today’s workers, and many other people too. So, local councillors of Dewsbury and Batley should take note of this and do something about it.
