Coun Firth got it done!
My mother-in-law Marian Ainsbury, of Chickenley, is totally disabled and wheelchair-bound.
In January this year her bathroom was measured for a disabled walk-in shower. We were told it would take up to four to six weeks to order and fit. After four weeks my wife phoned to check on progress and was passed from department to department only to be fobbed off and told it would take a further four to six weeks as they could not get the parts.

Hide AdThis carried on until the end of June – throughout which my mother-in-law was having to put up with bed baths.
Then my wife was told it was going to take another four to six weeks because the holiday period was starting.
That was the straw which broke the camel’s back. We rang Coun Firth and explained it to him. The following morning my mother-in-law got a visit from Coun Firth’s assistant who made a phone call from her house. That was on the Thursday and the following Monday morning the council began work on the shower room.
A big thankyou yet again to Coun Firth for kicking someone’s backside and getting the job done.
